[2010.04.17] The Blackout

I went to the acoustic set from The BlackOut @ FAME music store, yesterday. The BlackOut is one of my favorite English bands (‐^▽^‐)

They’re from Wales so they talk with such a cute accent ! #Random xD

FAME music store is located in Amsterdam, so … we needed to go there!( 2 hours travel by train but hey, they’re worth the travel! And I had a free railpass ) We first went to the store, there was nobody there yet so we decided to walk around Amsterdam a bit. I never been in Amsterdam before, Well only a few times, But I never really saw more then the concert hall The Melkweg and The Sugar Factory I never walked around the city before! There were so many people in Amsterdam! (゜д゜;) But I didn’t thought about the people who couldn’t go home because of that vulcano cloud … lots of them were in Amsterdam waiting for other ways to travel.

Anyways, we walked around a bit, but we were walking on shoes with heels, especially Diana’s heels were HUGE and we never walked on them before, so we went to a little bakery to eat something. ( it was close and we wanted to sit down to give our feet some rest ) It was such a cute bakery. They had bread, cake, pie and cute little cupcakes! (°∀°)

It was very cozy so we decided to stay a little longer. We wrote a little letter that we could give to The BlackOut after the acoustic gig, during the signing.
It wasn’t a letter like: “Oh we love you soooo much please come back soon” (-“-;A

No we talked about the weather and that hey were awesome in Tilburg, and that the cookies we brought them were tasting better when you dipped them in sugar tea … We also told them that we liked them no matter if they were standing on a big or a smaller stage I don’t even remember everything we wrote in the letter LOL

We went back to the store and now there were people waiting. So we sat down next to them, waiting until it would finally start.

After a while ( 1,5 hour (@Д@; ) we could enter the game area where they would perform (=⌒▽⌒=)

Then there was a FAME dude who wanted to tell us something but then hi s mic had some problems, one didn’t work and the other had a HUGE echo After a few more minutes ( 20 or so ) they finally worked and The BlackOut entered the stage.

Well not all of them tho, Sean, Gavin, Matthew and James entered the stage. The other two members were at Melkweg soundchecking, because later that night they would perform as support for Lostprophets ( like they did last thusday at the 013 )

Gavin: ” Hey, wow, this feels a bit …
Sean and Gavin: ” Awkward

That were the first words they spoke to us, and when I looked behind me I saw what they ment! There were so many people! They also told us that it was just a try out

Sean: ” Well my voice isn’t made for this kind of things you know? So please help me through this by singing along so that it’s not only my voice who is fudging up our songs!

And then they started… at first I thought it was strange, the sound, it was all so different But after the first song I began to like it! It wasn’t only the sound that was different, the whole admosphere was strange! They seemed … shy and insecure! It was really great to see their other side!

Normally Sean is almost… arrogant, like he knows it all, and like he is god or something and now he had that nervous smile on his face and laughed shy when he received screams from the girls ♥

After the acoustic set there was a signing so me and Diana decided to take some presents with us. We both love their music and we always hang out with them after gigs so, we wanted to give them something in return. We bought clog keyrings with the first character from their first name. They really liked them! They immediately grabbed their keys and hung their new keyrings on it. And we also gave them a box with “Speculaas” ( a typical Dutch/ Belgium cookie ) we gave them this because they loooove ” Speculoos Pasta ” and we thought about giving them something alike but different you know? We also gave them our letter (=⌒▽⌒=) and after that we left the store.

Sean wanted to edit every one but I gave him a "noooooo please don't" so he didn't he only coloured his lefst side of his haircut black...
